Chick-A-Saraus

Montana State University's Jack Horner. Jack wants to create a dinosaur from a chicken. Told a friend I wanted to borrow his blender for grinding lizard meat in preparation for DNA extraction and insertion into chicken egg. This got us going quite a bit.
But, thought has stuck.
I recall something about the need for RNA in order to select the DNA/gene.
Does someone have a sequence list of actions which transpire to preferentially gene select? Just something to get me started.
