Default Unitron type or model ?

Good Morning
First off I'm not a collector of Microscopes. I do like tinkering with older technology which takes in a very broad field. I have been trying to find out what this Unitron ADS was made for. It was made in Japan but is without a Model Number. I have some older Unitron catalogs but they are not extensive enough to name or show this unit. With a name/type or model I believe I can do the rest. Thank You

Hi jjsquire,
First time I've seen such a microscope. It looks like the unit is basically a loupe holder with substage illumination. The loupe appears to be on a swingarm to allow movement over the sample. Looking at the loups, the magnification range is between 5 - 20X. This is in the range of a stereo microscope (which clearly it is not, since it employs only a single "eyepiece". A compound microscope, by comparisson, offers about 40 - 1000x magnification. Interesting. If I had to venture a guess, it may have been used in quality control or mineral identification. Whatever it is, it certainly looks well made and in beautiful condition. Thanks for sharing your find!
