shadows from wall of 96 well plate

Hi,
I am doing an experiment in 96 well plates where afterwards I photograph the cells in the wells with PBS. The walls of the wells (and maybe also the PBS seem to cause significant shadows on the surface of the plate leaving me with less data. Any ideas?
