Query from new user!

Hi there,

I am a new user so apologies if I am posting this in the wrong area.

My question is about fluorescent micrscopy...is ist possible/suitable to view a Texas Red fluorphore using a Cy5 filter. I want to do some immunofluoresence with Texas red labelling and I want to know if I can detect the fluorescent signal sufficiently with a Cy5 filter and avoid having to purchase a Texas red filter.
