Hi and thanks for visiting, Randy ( I'm familiar with Warsaw, Indiana area).
I enjoy brightfield freshwater microscopy...the wee beasties (protists, meiofauna too). Collecting old/vintage microscopes is fun too...especially when the old scope sits in a shop where it's priced at $80.00, but woth more than three hundred bucks! Hope you share some images and posts soon, welcome. charlie guevara,fingerlakes/NY |

Hi Randy,
I'm pretty new here too and find this place to be a very solid resource for beginners like us. I also like to look at live specimens (got a pond full of creepies in the neighborhood). My microscope is capable only of brightfield mode but I've whipped up various sizes of darkfield stop filters from all kinds of scraps and bits and have had some decent results. Enjoy! Adam O. |
