Default Greetings from Elton

I am new to the group but not entirely new to microscopy. I have been interested in the micro-world since I was in my early teens when I had a Gilbert microscope set; but it wasn’t until I retired that I managed to get a real microscope (Leica CME with phase contrast illumination) and pursue the subject with a semi-serious eye. I love imaging so you may have to put up with that sort of thing from me. For openers here is a bristle worm budding off a youngster.

Greetings Elton Wizard, and welcome from another newby.
Very nice picture ... where does one look for bristleworms?

Thanks for the welcome. I suspect that bristleworms are fairly common critters. I found this one in a boggy area that comes and goes with the seasons and never gets more than about a foot deep. My point being that if I found one there you could probably find one almost anywhere there is permanent or semi-permanent water. Here’s another image, this one of the head and most of the digestive system of the same worm.
