very rare and little understood brain infection from a very common soil amoeba.

just as 'flesh eatting bacteria' can start that tragic infection from a simple scrape of your knee outdoors...this very common free-living amoeba...can get in your nose..enter the brain...very rare...poorly understood why it happens.

in the same waters where these tragic victims swam...thousands of other folks were also enjoying the water.

this is a scarey medical mystery at this time....again...these amoebas occur all over the place...and do not enter peoples brains usually...this a very rare, very scarey event. charlie guevara
