Default Thanks to the Microscope group at yahoo for their support.

I would like to thank Phil from the yahoo group Microscope for his support (Yahoo! Groups) , I really recommend their group to anyone interested in microscopy, it's a place with a lot of people willing to help and teach:

If you like the mail-list format it's a great group:
Microscope : Microscopy as a hobby or profession.

Hi All,

There will be no changes made to the Group at this time. The
vocal majority have made it clear that they are pleased with the
current format. I am too. Resources are scarce enough for us
microscopists. I encourage members of this Group to broaden
their horizons and visit http://www.microscopeforums.com/ ,
www.amateurmicroscopy.net...Front Page ,
and Microscopy-UK Micscape Microscopy and Microscopes Magazine . I
believe those sites host thread-driven discussions.
Meanwhile, we'll just exist with what Yahoo offers us
(gratefully).

Cheers, Phil

Default The Importance of Microscope

I am from the Philippines and the pace of technology here is very slow, almost backward. Though our university here offers science as major in Education courses, we lack the apparatus to support us in our laboratories and experiments. Often, we try to gaze at the sky and imagine about the apparatus we should be using. Nevertheless, our school is still able to provide us with essential apparatus and chemical, like the microscope. Though ours is an old model, we are still able to surmount the challenges and eventually have a relativelt successful experiment.
