Digital in stead of analoge

Hi,

We have in our laboratory an Olympus IMT2 microscope equipped with fluorescence. I want to replace our olympus OM4 camera with a digital camera, using the olympus MF-1 OM adapter. So I want to mount a new Olympus E520 camera (which I still have to buy) on the same tube as the olympus OM4. Does anyone have any experience with this system?
It is the cheapest solution but I would like to know whether it will work.
