With your help i figured it out - and the prism is moving backwards and forwards well now, all fixed...

I managed to get some video chasing around a red spider mite on a glass slide (and then recorded what happens when it runs into a drop of 2% H202 - mwahahaha) very happy with the camera port now that i got it working.
