Hi all! I'm a newbie as of today (12/07/09). I just won the bid on e-bay for a Bausch & Lomb monocular microscope. Must be from the 60's or earlier. I conjecture that based only my experience in High School / College at that time and the scopes I recall using then.

I guess I'm a collector of things: Beginning in childhood it has been - Marbles; stamps; LP's; Fountain pens; CD's; DE razors; watches; binoculars; . . . and hopefully NOT microscopes!

If I come close to using the full potential of the B&L on its way to me now . . . that would be good. Too often it is the "thrill of the hunt" and the exciting "moment of discovery" that drives me to collect more and more . . . always more than I really "need" in any category!

I hope to learn from others here and look forward to some interesting reads, chats, & postings.
