I don't think you grasped what I meant. I can buy a second hand Rolls Royce for £10,000 that works perfectly but is it poor quality? No just older. Now ask yourself the question. What resolution is an analogue recording on a VHS camera? The quality is there it is just old. What will degrade the quality is when the picture is digitised for computer then it is reduced to the resolution of the digitiser.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for taking the time Terry and letting me know Mitch. I am having fun with my compound microscope and I am able to shoot pictures through the eye piece which work out good enough actually for what I have been using the pictures for. I am now looking into getting a zoom stereo microscope that is trinocular so I can put a camera on it but I am not sure what to get but you have me thinking against the ones I have been looking at that come with cameras. I'm new with microscopes but enjoying it so far. Here's a picture I took with my sony camera through the eyepiece. Its a varroa mite that was on one of my dead bees. With the zoom stereo microscope I want to dissect the bees and look for signs of trachael mites etc. I'm not in a hurry to get one I want to make sure I get the right trinocular zoom stereo scope. The camera will come later and wish to get the right camera too. First good scope then good camera in that order I guess. It would be nice to get it all in one but that might not be the way to go. Time will tell. Any suggestions on these paths I will be traveling would be appreciated. Best Wishes, Max
